    Chestnut Grove Welcome
Two important meetings are being held this week for parents who are planning to enrol their children at a Wandsworth secondary school in September 2011. The meetings, which are being held at Wandsworth town hall's civic suite, will give parents the chance to ask questions and learn more about the secondary school admissions process.  The meetings will be held on Tuesday, September 7 and Wednesday, September 8. • Chestnut Grove - Great Exam Results 2010!

By  aloquifique at 14:37 on 04/09/10
    Chestnut Grove Welcome
We are very proud that 95% of our Year 11 students achieved 5+ A*-C grades this year, with 44% of them achieving this with both English and Maths. This compares very favourably with the Wandsworth average of 81% and the national average of 69%, and we fully expect it to place us again in the top percent of the country for value-added. We were particularly pleased at the achievement of our most able students, who achieved nearly 15%...

    WH Smith 75% off stationery
Even though Balham may be devoid of school uniforms, I checked with WH Smith and the 99p shop on Balham High Road today for stationery and rutsacks and I have to say WH Smith had some great offers on bags and stationery - that's apart from the very necessary refurb the store went through about 3 weeks ago! Rutsacks were either £5 or £10.  And they had a 3 for 2 offer on stationery (see pic) any some big discounts. ...

James and Raffy First Day at School
Calling all school uniform purchasers!  Let's have a second or two to think about our local school uniform 'market'.  Well, the good news, there isn't one!  Nowhere in Balham can you buy an item of school uniform and I expect there are many who are very happy about that!  And yet, we all know that we live deep in the belly of Nappy Valley and you're going to be getting that school uniform from somewhere!  You...
