    Overall GCSE results in have remained stable this year, following significant gains in 2011. The proportion of pupils receiving five or more GCSEs at A* to C has remained at 88 per cent.     Wandsworth has bucked the national trend by reporting another bumper crop of A-level results. Provisional results for 2012 show that a quarter of students achieved A*-A grades - up from 23 per cent last year. Nationally this figure dropped by 0.4 percentage points.
