This fabulous upmarket curry restaurant on Nightingale Lane is run by chef Andy Varma; everything is freshly cooked and clean tasting; when I lived in Balham this was my favourite eating place – I see from my visit just before Christmas that Prawn Arabi is still on the menu (cooked in a tandoori and mildly spiced). I also tried Gosht Kata Masala, lamb cooked with onion and garlic and lots of chilli – very spicey but lovely! There‘s also a delivery service and if you don‘t feel like going out, you can order online and stipulate the time for your delivery.
