As reported last week here, Patricia Langton, a local wine journalist and author, will be hosting a wine tasting event at Harrisons in Balham on Wednesday 14 April.  She's called it 'Anything but Pinot Grigio!'  That's because she wants you to be able to go for something a bit more original off the wine menu. 

Patricia says "Some basic knowledge can give you the confidence to choose beyond the first wine on a restaurant list or the bargain deal in the supermarket and select the best from the huge choice of wines available to us."

Patricia is a journalist and author, specialising in wine.  She writes for Off Licence News, Square Meal, The Drinks Business and Decanter. She's also co-author of 500 White Wines, published in October 2009 by Apple press.  She's been writing about wines since 1995.
