Do Gok Wan's Twitter Followers Tell Us Anything?

Is Twitter is an accurate reflection of a free thinking, unregulated society? It's our own choice to follow whoever we want to, without judgement or coercion. We lead our 'nose', our 'instinct' our 'curiosity' to follow who we want. Right?

So I am curious to know why today, in the twitter world of weight loss and body confidence, the split goes like this:
Lighterlife has 706 followers. Rosemary Conley has 1,513 followers. Slimming World has 2,032 followers. Weight Watchers has 6,616 followers and Gok Wan, women's answer to body confidence and feeling good about yourself today, has got 93,764 followers.
Could it be that there wasn't ever an obesity crisis before the invention of diet industry. Are we getting fatter because we're trying too hard to get slimmer? Is the key to the obesity crisis, stopping dieting. Why is everyone following Gok and not Lighterlife? Could be just a coincidence .... but ....
Tell me your thoughts. I want to know.

Gok's a decent bloke with some common sense, showing women that most women are natural gorgeous but don't see it in the age of retouched and manipulated
magazine photos ...

Reporttinyurl.com/yd8bfef enable women to stop overeating and yo yo dieting. Sophie, their founder has had a similar path to Gok and they run really inspirational workshops. Diets work, but only in the short term. Envariably they lead to putting on extra weight and heading back to WW with our tail between our legs! Ultimately, they do nothing in making us women feel good long term. My guess is we are a nation of secret bingers. Anyone with me on that?
