Come on ladies! Let the train take the strain. A full day's shopping at Westfield Shopping Centre for only £4.10 return on the train, with no changes!

Balham to Westfields direct!
If you play your cards right, you can catch one of the few direct trains to Westfield (Shepherds Bush) from Balham. With the right planning, it could beat jumping in the car - and that awful journey on the roads heading out west - hands down.
The 08:02 from Balham will get you there for 08:26. Time for a latte before shopping begins. The 17:45 will get you home by 18:08. Feeling that's a little early? The 09:30 from Balham will get you there for 09:53.
Westfield website is advertising it's Mid Season Sale on in Stores, so this proposition is getting more enticing. What do you say?

ReportI'm far more likely to be seen wandering around a shopping centre than my wife is. I quite enjoy it. She prefers shopping online.

ReportI agree with the 'ladies' bit entirely and I really hesitated before putting it in, but then .... in my experience I really don't know any men who enjoy shopping especially at somewhere like Westfields!! I thought I'd stick with it and take the flack! Do you go against the stereotype?!

ReportGetting the train directly to and from Shepherd's Bush is a really good idea. But you really don't want to get the 8:02 from Balham. It's already overcrowded with the number of commuters that catch it. It's only a four-coach train - they should really make it longer.
