Delicious, local and luscious

It's great to see a local business doing well and even better, to see them supporting other local business too. I stopped by at Trinity Stores in Station Road Balham today for a large latte and Portuguese custard tart and seized the opportunity to ask Graham, the Manager, to show me what he stocked in the Deli from hyper local suppliers.

Best coffee in Balham?
I knew from their website that a lot of their produce comes from English artisan suppliers but I wanted to see what comes from our neighbourhood.
So, from Wandsworth, we have Nomades who import Moroccan spices and produce their own mixes. RDA organic smoothies are based on Garratt Lane and Graham has a tea supplier from Tooting who supplies him with home grown English peppermint tea!
Further afield Alba & Old are from Acton, West London, and they supply Trinity Stores with the amazing ice cream and sorbets pictured above. In the freezer today was Morello Cherry ice cream, Lemoncello and Strawberries ice cream and Forest Fruit Sorbet.
I am desperate to taste their Macadamia Nut and Toffee Cheesecake again. Graham tells me that that one is made by their own chef to an Ottoleighi recipe. If I want, I can order a whole one and take it home. Now, that's tempting. Very tempting. Check out the pictures and tell me if I should!
