Hey, this was great! Am sure it will go down as one of Balham's summer calendar highlights. Got there 12:30 and Ritherdon Road shop parade was abuzz! From the crepes being made out front of The Quirky Dovetail (lovely garden furniture out back, btw), to the Italian ice creams and facepainting in Locale, there was something to amuse all. We really liked Bertie & Boo's 1pm performance. As children's entertainers go, they are great and well able to keep an audience of adults happy too! Their fun, colour and magic show was just what my children wanted! There were lots of stalls selling fashion bags and clothes, food and drink and hand-made jewellery. A raffle was taking place amongst all traders and proceeds are going to the local Balham school for the deaf. All in all a great addition to a June Sunday. Now, any chance you could repeat in December???
