Day: Every Thursday.

Time: 7:30pm - 10pm.

Cost: £10. No need to book, just turn up.

Where: St. Mary’s Hall, Balham High Road (next door to 218) Balham, London, SW12 9BS.

This is our original workshop and has been running non-stop for over seven years. It continues to offer the most fun and friendly environment to do some impro, focusing on the core skills in a fun and sociable way.
You don’t need any drama, acting, comedy or impro experience whatsoever. You don’t have to be clever, fast or funny. No need to book, just turn up.

The aim of Thursdays is always to have fun, and get back to the basics of improv.

We start with some friendly warm-ups before doing some fun exercises on one of the core areas of impro like spontaneity, listening, Yes And, and accepting and building on offers. Unlike Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays we don’t pre-decide the theme for Thursdays, we just go with the group and mood for the evening and adjust as we go. In the second half we tend to open it up so you get to put some of these skills into practice and have some fun.

Suitable for All

These workshops are open to all, whether you can make it every week or once every couple of months you are very welcome.

The workshops are suitable for everyone from beginners to experienced improvisers as we modify the themes, topics, games and exercises on the night depending on the group.

We get people from all backgrounds as it's a great place to relax after work and do all the fun bits of drama and impro without the commitment of regular rehearsals or learning lines.

You don’t need any drama, acting, comedy or impro experience whatsoever. You don’t have to be clever, fast or funny. No need to book, just turn up.
