My wife an I had been once before to the petite bistro and thought that the food was mediocre. The kind of food that you could find at any greasy spoon anywhere in London. We went again since the re-fit and were terribly disappointed!!!!! the food remains not only mediocre but also cold. We ordered drinks which took 25 minutes to arrive. we pointed this out to the waitress who's surly attitude let us know that she didn't give a hoot and that she was busy so didn't want to discuss our comment. All around us other people had complaints. One table had a meal missing and was argued with. Another had not got their drinks until they had finished their meal. The system of table management was woefully illogical which was evident by the constant confusion in the waiting staff as to what was ordered at any given table. If this establishment was called the Bedford cafe, the food quality would be understandable. But this place calls itself a bistro and cannot even provide whole wheat bread! As well as this there is no excuse for appalling service. This establishment is taking advantage of an excellent location and a growing trend in cafes in the area.
