I was walking home from work today on Balham High road near the Dry cleaners and opposite Natwest, when I noticed an old letting agents being painted glossy black and with signs advertising for waiting and kitchen staff - does anyone know what this new restaurant/deli or shop is going to be? Its very exciting!

Not that one, but there is an artisan bakers opening (apparently) where the old Gazette used to be - next to Bertie and Boo.

Yes I saw that today, looks v promising. I think James Nicholas will be a deli. Also walked past a new wine tasting shop on hildred street & there's a new cafe boutique opening soon opp the Bedford . Balham is booming!
