Lambeth College to bag pack at Balham Sainsbury's
• Prince's Trust Students will be providing a helping hand at the checkouts to Sainsbury's Balham customers by bag-packing on 24th October
• Customers can choose to make a donation on the day
• All money raised will be going to Archbishop Sumner School to be used for a gardening project
Customers at Sainsbury's Balham are set to be offered a helping hand at the till by a local cause. Volunteers from Lambeth College will be providing a bag-packing service for customers on 24th October, to raise money for Archbishops Sumner School.
The Team situated in Wincott Street, have been supported by Sainsbury's Balham for 1 year. The store have supported the Team so far by allowing bag packing to take place, Matthew Johnson the Team Leader from the Team who will be taking part in the bag-pack which runs from 11am to 2pm said: "We're really looking forward to helping pack the customer's shopping and would like to take the opportunity to thank Sainsbury's for their support and helping to raise awareness of our project."
Customers will be able to make a donation to the Team on the day, with collection buckets being situated on the back of every checkout. The store has a number of exciting plans to work with the Lambeth College and The Prince's Trust in the coming months.
Store Manager John Stanton added: "It's always helpful to have support during the busy summer holidays, so we're delighted to invite Lambeth College and the Prince's Trust students to help us out and we hope the day helps to raise awareness of our partnership with them".
