Gangs on bikes target toddlers

Reported on twitter today, a gang of three youths, one with corn rows and all wearing sports clothes, aged in their early twenties rode their bikes on the pavement at Rossier Road in Balham into a 4 year old who was accompanied by his mother.

The toddler wasn't hurt but his mother was extremely distressed and anxious for the safety for her child.  Writing on Twitter @housegirlfriend wrote 'they were quite clearly trying to scare me.'

What could be the motive of these young adults to scare the wits out of a young 4 year old child and mother?  Has this happened to anyone else?  Let us know here, on Balhampeople.  This reckless behaviour is intimidating and we don't want it continuing on our streets in broad daylight in the middle of the afternoon.  Let alone any other time.
