Primary Schools in Balham - Application Deadline Looms

Balham parents have until this Sunday (January 15 2012) to submit their application for primary school places in the Wandsworth Council area for a September start. 

To be eligible for a reception class place in September 2012, children must have been born between September 1, 2007 and August 31, 2008.

Parents can apply online at www.wandsworth.gov.uk/admissions or by completing the application form provided in the council's Choose a Wandsworth Primary School brochure.

Applications for state secondary schools in Wandsworth closed in October. However parents whose children are ready to move on to secondary school in September there may be an alternative choice with the proposed opening of 'Free School' Michaela Community School in Tooting.  Head Teacher Katharine Birbalsingh is welcoming feedback on the proposals via a response form on the school website.
