Local mum helps Wandsworth families find things to do this summer

With the holidays looming, mum helps others to share local ideas and discover the best places to go through MadeForMums
A local mum, Alex Sykes, is helping other families discover activities going on in Wandsworth and share their favourites with other mums.
Alex is the Wandsworth Community Manager for MadeForMums, a national family website which has launched a new Neighbourhood section, with helpful local info for and from Wandsworth mums.
With perfect timing for summer holidays, http://www.madeformums.com/local/wandsworth not only shows parents the best of what's going on in Wandsworth but also gives tips and ratings from other local mums.
Alex has helped build up a wealth of family friendly listings in and around Wandsworth, from groups and classes to great places to go, as well as info on summer camps, childcare and schools, cafes and restaurants and health services. Anyone is able to list their own activities, meet ups and groups, and invite their friends to come along too.
Acting as a hub for all things family in Wandsworth, Alex is helping mums share their best local knowledge and reviews, while keeping her finger on the local community pulse. She's now working on launching a local promotions forum where local businesses can post deals and offers aimed directly at Wandsworth families.
"I'm passionate about parenting, and as the Community Manager for MadeForMums Wandsworth I can share my views, tips and local research with other local mums. It's all about bringing together local mums online and helping each other out by sharing tips and advice, debating local parenting issues or simply finding something new to do for your family."
Though only recently launched, MadeForMums Wandsworth has over 1,500 listings of local family events, classes and places to go and is growing every day.
MadeForMums editor Susie Boone adds, "We now need the help of Wandsworth mums to support Alex's efforts with your great tips and ideas. Plus, if you run a group or service for local families, come along and list it on http://www.madeformums.com/local/wandsworth It's completely free – so join in!"
