The Busking project brings some of London's finest streeet performers together on stage for the first time. Singer/Songwriter Tony Moore will host a unique night of amazing acts, original short films and special guests with all proceeds going towards funding The Busking Project.
The Busking Project has filmed in 40 cities in 30 countries over 10 months. It will be the first documentary to examine the tough, gritty and politically charged world of street performance on a global scale.
The team have lived in the homes of artists they meet along the way, filming over a hundred unique acts so far, including snake charmers in Marrakech, children dancing in the slums of Jaipur, a handless sculptor in Hong Kong, the man with the world's highest pain tolerance in Copoenhagen, and a Techno Granny in Rome!
Tickets for the event are available from this link, here and cost £8 in advance or £10 on the door. Eight buskers will be there on 14 August to entertain you, as well as screenings of some of their best footage from over 4 months of filming!
The end result of this project will be a website, book and documentary. The website enthuses, "It's an amazing project, which we hope will give people the first look at the beautiful, harsh and politically lively world of busking!'
